About
Rachel Himmel
Pursuing Master of Social Work at Wurzweiler School of Social Work
As a Master of Social Work student, I am deeply passionate about helping teens and adults navigate overwhelming emotions, unhelpful patterns, and the challenges of painful life experiences. I believe that compassion and curiosity, along with the exploration of new perspectives, are invaluable tools—both within and beyond the therapy room. In our work together, we’ll take the time to slow down, tune into your inner experience, and uncover the underlying factors contributing to your struggles. My aim is to support you in finding healthier, more effective ways to connect with yourself and others and to no longer feel stuck and powerless to your emotions and thoughts.
I strive to create a safe, empathetic space where you feel seen, heard, and understood. My therapeutic approach is tailored to your unique needs, blending evidence-based techniques from modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Creative Arts Therapies.
If you’re ready to take the first step toward a more balanced and fulfilling life, I invite you to reach out. Together, we can work toward a future where you feel empowered, resilient, and at peace. I look forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey.
